Powerful, dangerous warrior Kyonshi.
A tall, powerfully-built Kyonshi woman with white hair in a braid and an air of barely contained energy. She is capable of manifesting claws made from pure Ki energy, and can use them to devastating effect in combat. Though she could be considered beautiful, others are often disquieted by Umashiashikabihikoji’s constant grin, as well as her eyes, which are an unbroken, milky white under her talisman.
Umashiashikabihikoji, along with Amenotokotachi, under orders from the Chosokabe, ambushed Hashinara Katamoto and his generals south of Kongobu-ji in Kii province. She moved immediately to attack when it seemed as though Amenotokotachi’s position would be revealed, and engaged Ishikawa Goemon in combat, landing a minor blow on the ninja while her partner escaped. Umashiashikabihikoji was then engaged by Ryuuzaki Sanosuke and the Akaoni, and was injured by a blow of the latter’s massive kanabou. She retaliated with a chain of techniques, first marking the Oni with a pair of glowing claw marks, then channeling raw energy into them, causing the wounds on its torso to explode violently. A blow that would have instantly slain any normal combatant, however, just caused the Oni to stagger back, confused and annoyed. While Umashiashikabihikoji stared on in disbelief at the lack of effect her attack had on the brute, Goemon took the opportunity to snatch the talisman off of her head, and she was subsequently captured, inert.
Later, following the battle with the Igamono, Umashiashikabihikoji was revived by, and put under the control of, Hashinara Katamoto and added to his ranks as a general, assigned to Aotsuki Tsukamoto as a bodyguard. She participated in the battle at Awa Harbor, slaying several ashigaru before being brought down by a mass of troops and sustained arrow fire.
During the battle at Takamatsu castle in Sanuki province, Umashiashikabihikoji, despite having her arm broken by Chosokabe Kanetsugu, was able to both defeat the other Kyonshi and locate the position of Chosokabe Kunichika, allowing allied archers to shoot him down and turn the tide of battle.
Some time after the Chosokabe clan’s defeat at the hands of the Hashinara, Umashiashikabihikoji entered a celebratory tournament being held in Yamato province as a participant. Her first battle placed her against a powerful Youkai known as Hakutaku, who weathered Umashiashikabihikoji’s powerful claw attacks for several seconds before casting a spell of instant death. Taking the form of a black, twisting snake coiled around Hakutaku’s staff, the spell bit Umashiashikabihikoji on the neck and sent her collapsing to the ground, entirely inert. She had lost the match and her unlife, but was later revived by Hashinara Katamoto.
Umashiashikabihikoji’s second match, the first in the losers’ bracket, had her fighting Tsukuda Katsuo of the Iga Ninja. Despite her superior strength and speed, however, she fell prey to Katsuo’s canny ninja techniques, allowing him to dodge Umashiashikabihikoji’s strikes and break her claws with his ki-infused blade. Eventually, through repeated strikes, Katsuo wore her down and she lost the match, removing her from the tournament.
