The clan which currently acts as Shogunate, rulers of Japan in all military matters. Recently, the Emperor’s power has been waning, granting the Shogun significantly more influence in areas outside of the military sphere as well.
After the death of the previous Shogun, Ashikaga Yoshiteru, his brother, Ashikaga Yoshikage, attempted to take the title, but was killed by Oda Nobunaga during the ceremony. The next successor, Ashikaga Yoshiaki, then inherited the title successfully and, in her first act of Shogun, pardoned Nobunaga for her crimes.
The Shogunate currently has good relations with the Oda and Tokugawa clans, and seems aggressively impartial to all others.
