Omi Province

A large province located near the center of Japan, and just south of Echizen. Its shape, relatively flat terrain, and proximity to the capital make Omi an important part of the country’s economic infrastructure, and many trade routes pass through it at some point. The province also has Japan’s largest inland body of water, Lake Biwa, the shores of which are said to be one of the country’s most beautiful sites.
